About Hannah

Like many before me, I found Yoga out of my own deep personal need to heal. Chronic pain, autoimmune diseases, and anxiety have colored most of my life. But after many years as a seeker, I discovered in Yoga a self reliant healing system and a realistic companion to the many up’s and down’s of life.

I credit Yoga as imbuing my life with both alignment and magic. While I came to the practice seeking relief in the physical, it’s the healing of deeper layers witnessed in myself and others that draws me to this work on an enduring, soul-aligned level.

I’ve completed over 500 hours of advanced training at Teton Yoga Shala in Jackson, WY and at The Soul of Yoga in Encinitas, CA. Although deeply grateful for all my studies, I consider my greatest teacher to be my own experience living with chronic pain and disease. I seek to lend empathy to my students and the various states of being in which they may arrive on their mat. My approach to Yoga blends therapeutic asana with energy healing, relaxation, and sound. It instills a sense that with Yoga as a companion, healing is always in our own hands. And more than anything it seeks to remind us that we are whole and complete– as we already are.

My Many Facets

Music

I grew up singing and now love writing folk music and playing my Gibson guitar. Find me strumming or playing crystal singing bowls during your savasana.

Morning Routine

Journaling is my ultimate way to empty my mind and process. Best done with the companion of a matcha latte. Often followed by some guitar time.

Art

In addition to songwriting and journaling, I am a visual artist and come from a career in graphic design. Catch my handy work right here in the H&H brand.

In The Stars

I’m a Scorpio Sun/Cancer Rising/Aries Moon. My pillars are depth and emotion, but also a firey will to show up for others even in their rawest moments.

Always Seeking

I’m a student of Yoga, Buddhism, Reiki, Crystals, Divination and more. I believe in the intersections and that “Truth is a pathless land” (Krishnamurti).

Best Found

Anywhere the sun shines! Hiking a mountain, with my feet in the surf, simply laying in the grass or the sand. The sun is my battery recharge.

“Now, at last, you’re open and vulnerable enough to begin. Celebrate the magic, the mystery of the unknown. Celebrate the miracles that will certainly come.”
